The House That Track Built is a very rare 1969 UK Track Records various artists compilation with two otherwise unavailable Who songs: a true stereo mix of "A Quick One" and unique studio version of "Young Man Blues"; as well as the very rare, non-LP first Fairport Convention single "If I Had A Ribbon Bow" and tracks by Hendrix/John's Children with Marc Bolan/Thunderclap Newman/Arthur Brown/ The Parlaments (later Parliament / Funkadelic) etc. Great laminated gatefold psychedelic sleeve by David King, who did the great Hendrix Electric Ladyland & Axis covers. A beautiful cover with some awesome music inside.

·       RECORD

 (IMPORTANT NOTE: unless otherwise noted, ALL records are graded visually, and NOT play-graded!; we  grade records under the strong, diffuse room light or discrete sunlight)

(a)          WE GRADE THE VINYL AS NEAR MINT. The original luster is very much intact, and the vinyl shines and sparkles almost like new.

(b)          The record comes in the original “Made in England” poly-lined stock inner sleeve.

(c)           The record is pressed on a beautiful, thick, inflexible vinyl, which was usually used for the first or very early pressings. Usually, the sound on such thick vinyl pressings is full-bodied, vivid, and even dramatic. Do not expect to obtain such a majestic analog sound from a digital recording!

(d)          Of course, this is a full-bodied ANALOG recording, and not an inferior, digital recording!!!

·       COVER (THIS IS THE ORIGINAL, LAMINATED, GLOSSY COVER):

THE COVER IS NICE --- ABOUT EXCELLENT OR VERY GOOD+++.

The following flaws or imperfections are noted on the cover:

-         Cover has a few tiny wrinkles along the spine and the top seam   (nothing significant)

-         Cover has a visible wrinkle (crease) in the cardboard base on the front panel, and another one in the back

-        The laminated cover has a slight loss (flaking) of lamination along the opening edge (this is a common problem with most laminated 50’s and 60’s covers; lamination is just beginning to peel-off along the opening edge; however, since the underlying layer of the cover is ALSO laminated, the peeled-off spots are only a minor visual distraction   (VISIBLE ON THE BOTTOM SEAM ONLY)

NO OTHER IMPERFECTIONS ON THE COVER:

-        No split seams

-        No ring wear

-        No cut-out (drill) holes.

-        No cut-out corners

-        No saw-marks or indents

-        No dirt/dust rubbing stains (friction marks caused by rubbing against other covers)

-        No razor marks, scratches, pressure marks, lines, streaks, or  cuts.
