Description
A fantastic 78 rpm recording of early Texas blues musician Henry Thomas, also known as "Ragtime Texas." Vocalion record #1468 features "Charmin' Betsy" and "Lovin' Babe." Two great songs with Thomas singing and playing guitar and quills (a cane reed instrument.) Recorded Oct. 7, 1929, this was apparently his last record made before his death the following year. Record is in excellent condition (EX) with only light scuffs and scratches. Sounds loud and bright with just normal background hiss. Labels are just about perfect. If that isn't enough, it also includes the original Vocalion "Race Records" sleeve featuring King Oliver, Luella Miller and other blues and gospel musicians.
This record is sold with NO RESERVE.
