About This Collection:

From the collection of Harold L. Keith, writer and editor for the Pittsburgh Courier.  Harold Keith wrote about jazz music, African politics, and the civil rights movement.

In 1958, he became editor of the newspaper, a position he held until 1963. Keith subsequently entered government service and worked for the Agency for International Development, the Bureau for African Affairs, and the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development.

He also produced and hosted two weekly radio programs for WAMO and WZUM

This record was preserved by Mr. Keith's family, and is a beautiful example of this recording.
