****************** DONALD BYRD: "A NEW PERSPECTIVE" LP - On BLUE NOTE Records, #4124.  Rare vintage jazz Lp!  MONO pressing with the classic Blue & White labels and the NEW YORK USA address on both labels (no dg).  "EAR" etched and VAN GELDER stamped in the trail-off on both sides.  Thick vinyl, thick glossy cardboard cover.  The personnel:  Donald Byrd/trumpet; Hank Mobley/tenor sax; Donald Best/vibes; Kenny Burrell/guitar; Herbie Hancock/piano; Butch Warren/bass; Lex Humphries/drums.  The vinyl is in VG+ condition, clean luster, has some light sleeve scuffs, surface marks, sounds great with minimal to no surface noise, a few ticks.  The thick cardboard cover is in VG shape, still displays nicely.  Top edge taped very discreetly.  There is evidence of a little bit of wear at some corner tips.  No cut-out marks, no writing, and the front cover graphics are particularly striking.  Address on back cover is 43 West 61st St., New York 23.  The songs are:  Elijah; Beast of Burden; Cristo Redentor; The Black Disciple; Chant.
