On offer here is a VERY rare LP (especially in this condition!!!!) by David Bowie called "David Bowie" and is an ORIGINAL 1969 UK 1st Pressing on the 1st Press Philips label!!!! THIS LP IS SERIOUSLY RARE AND SIMPLY IMPOSSIBLE TO FIND!!!! THIS IS ONE OF THE RAREST LPS ON THE PHILIPS LABEL (AND ONE OF DAVID BOWIES RAREST LPS EVER!) - AND VIRTUALLY NEVER TURNS UP FOR SALE!!!! JUST TRY AND FIND ANOTHER ONE!!!! IT ONLY EVER SOLD IN ABSOLUTELY TINY AMOUNTS ON RELEASE BACK IN 1969 - AND WAS ALMOST IMMEDIATELY DELETED!!!! AS A RESULT IT IS SERIOUSLY RARE AND INCREDIBLY HARD TO LOCATE TODAY!!!! SO DONT UNDERESTIMATE THE AMAZING RARITY OF THIS LP!!!! IT IS ONE OF THE ALL TIME DAVID BOWIE RARITIES AND IS SO TOUGH TO LOCATE!!!! NOT ONLY THAT BUT THIS LP IS IN GREAT CONDITION!!!! JUST TAKE A LOOK AT THE PICTURES!!!! THIS IS THE ORIGINAL 1969 UK 1ST PRESSING ON THE 1ST PRESS PHILIPS LABEL, 1ST PRESS INNER SLEEVE, AND 1ST PRESS GATEFOLD COVER!!!! THIS LP IS SERIOUSLY RARE AND SIMPLY IMPOSSIBLE TO FIND - SO DONT MISS THIS ULTRA RARE OPPORTUNITY!!!! And before I get any emails on the subject - this is NOT the same LP as I sold just last week. Fortunately I was VERY lucky to find 2 copies of this AMAZING LP in the last 2 weeks - and indeed, if you compare the pictures & description to the one I just sold you can clearly see they are completely different! This is the ORIGINAL Philips UK 1st Pressing from 1969 and is in GREAT condition!!!! The record is pressed on THICK quality vinyl. The Cat. No is SBL 7912 on the ORIGINAL 1st Press Philips label (see picture) and is a UK Stereo 1st Pressing (there were NO Monos)!!!!
The record labels are in STUNNING condition (see pictures) with NO wear, NO writing and only a few light spindle marks!!!! The vinyl is in GREAT condition!!!! Most of these 60s LPs had been to a lot of wild parties and are usually found totally worn out, and almost unplayable. This one is NOT and has NO scratches, only 2 or 3 TINY surface marks, only 3 or 4 light hairlines, only 2 or 3 VERY light scufflines, and only a VERY few of the lightest paper scuffs only visible under light!!!! THE RECORD STILL RETAINS ITS ORIGINAL 'JUST PRESSED' LOOK!!!! It is also great to find that the playing of the record is as STUNNING as the visual!!!! It plays with NO nasty loud pops, only a VERY few light clicks/pops, NO jumps, NO sticks, barely ANY crackle AT ALL, and only some VERY slight background sound on the run on grooves, gaps and VERY quietest parts of the music ONLY!!!! Of course 99% of this LP is VERY loud indeed - and any background sound is completely INVISIBLE behind it!!!! The sound quality is simply SUPERB with NO groovewear and NO distortion either!!!! The record must MEGA STRICTLY grade Very Good(Minus) (PROPERLY graded, NOT trashed!) if not better!!!! Believe me this record is NOT overgraded in ANY way!!!! I use STRICT RC grading standards - it is not in my interest not to!!!! Brillant!!!! The record also comes in its ORIGINAL 1st Press inner sleeve!!!! The 1st Press Gatefold Cover is in GREAT condition!!!! It has barely ANY bottom edge wear AT ALL (NOT through the colour), only slight top edgewear (NOT through the colour), NO splits, barely ANY spinal wear AT ALL (virtually NONE - and NOT through the colour!), only slight corner wear (NOT through the colour), barely ANY creases AT ALL (cover is VERY flat looking indeed!), NO sticker tears (IMPOSSIBLE on this cover - most do!), only VERY light rubbing to the cover front, NO ringwear AT ALL, and NO rubbing on the cover back AT ALL with a STUNNING cover back picture!!!! The opening edges are beautifully straight with NO feathering!!!! Even the inside of the cover is in BRILLIANT condition with NO yellowing, NO grubbyness, only VERY slight rubbing, NO ringwear, and NO writing!!!! There is also some VERY minor evidence of 'touching in' on the edges of the cover (virtually INVISIBLE!) - though this has been AMAZINGLY well done, is as unnoticeable as it gets - and only serves to enhance what is already a GREAT conditioned cover!!!! The only other VERY minor detail to mention is that there is some faint writing on the cover front to the right of David Bowies head. However this is in blue - and the colour of the cover front hides this VERY well indeed (see pictures) making it VERY easy to overlook!!!! The cover must grade Very Good (PROPERLY graded, NOT trashed) if not better and is VERY presentable indeed!!!! THIS LP IS SERIOUSLY RARE AND SIMPLY IMPOSSIBLE TO FIND - SO DONT MISS OUT ON THIS ULTRA RARE OPPORTUNITY!!!!
