This record came from a wonderfully preserved collection that I have be listing over the last month, the owner clearly looked after their records. There were some wonderful examples with some nice rarities covering Columbia, HMV and Decca. Almost all graded EX and above both records and sleeves. Please check my recent feedback as you will see numerous items from this collection.

All records are visually graded unless otherwise stated

Record- Visually grades EX+ a very nice glossy shiny surface that would suggest limited use. Some very light paper marks are present, only noticeable in very strong light. There are no feelable marks whatsoever. On the whole a very nice example. Due to the rarity of the record I have listened to both sides of the record on a Rega P3-24 with a Ortofon Blue 2M cart and stylus.

I would grade the audio at EX, this is due to there being some light background noise sibilance consistently throughout, this is much lower in the mix in some of the more busy sections and a little more noticeable in quieter sections, some sections it is barely noticeable at all. There were some occasional ticks and minor light pops in places but again nothing to distracting or heavy. The two Violins are captured and recorded beautifully, and the aforementioned background became insignificant at times to me, with the occasional reminder that brought me out of the spell that Kogan and Gilels had put me under. It plays through confidently at an EX grading with no jumping, skipping or sticking. I suspect that the background noise will subside with playing as can often be the case and a professional clean would possibly increase the audio. In light of the rarity of this record I got a second opinion as to its grading and they agreed with my grading so please bid with confidence.

 Sleeve-EX+ Nice clean bright examples, very well looked after indeed. There is some very light ring wear present barely noticeable from the front. There is some mild edge wear, mainly on the opening edge with some very light discolouration on the flipbacks, with some occasional grazing to the flip back corner areas. There are a couple of other small marks but nothing to distracting. The back is very clean and bright generally with only the aforementioned marks.
