Description
Well, what can I say, probably the rarest and best 45s in garage rock. These 1964 recordings set the standard for all the music that followed and helped Roky Erickson become the vocalist extraordinaire in punk rock. So here's a chance to score both Spades 45s at one time! Roky is only on the 2nd record as the band was a local group.
I've been in Austin a long time and during the 40 years I've been aware of these records I've only seen 2 or 3 copies, even here in Austin the home base for Zero Records and Roky Erickson. Both copies look VG but play better as do many records of that era. Light scuffs but no deep scratches.
I will have a catalog of several hundred of this type 45 later in the year so get your name in to recieve a copy!! Thanks, Doug Hanners
Also some people have asked so I'll spell it out, no the 2nd 45 is NOT a bootleg but the super rare original pressing. There was a white label boot in the '70s but this is the grey/silver label original. Thanks, Doug
And yes fellow vinylites, the next Austin Record Convention is October 3/4/5 2008, see ya there!!! DH
