Description
Original MONO pressing of Bob Dylan's first LP issued by Columbia records. This is the first pressing with the famous six-eyes label used at the time. Cover has some wear with seam splits at top. Vinyl looks clean. This copy was sent to a radio station that obviously did not have it on heavy rotation. Inner sleeve is the original Columbia generic sleeve. Sticker on one side attached to the label indicating a demo copy. The back cover is what makes this copy special. The back has the familiar Demonstration stamp used by Columbia and the radio station has written their call letters on the top, but they have also stamped the back cover with the date they received it from Columbia. In the top right hand corner - last photo - you can see the stamped date April 3, 1962 - they received the LP 14 days after its official release date on March 19, 1962. A hard to find first pressing in any condition, the dating on the cover adds to its scarcity.
