Description

BOB DYLAN  BLOOD ON THE TRACKS  mispressed ALBUM

Columbia PC 33235   Back cover has a light stamping:  "Promotion Record Not For Sale".  Mint condition!

To Bob Dylan Collectors:  This is one of 216 copies of Dylan's album that was pressed in 1974 with the wrong A-side.

Side 1 is by The Buckinghams, while Side 2 is the correct Dylan pressing.  The promotion album jacket has a matte finish with an entirely different back cover and more of a burgundy color on the front cover than the red color on the commercial pressings.

Included is a Rolling Stone article from February 27, 1975 telling the story of a Madison, Wisconsin disc jockey who "had his mind blown when he slapped his brand-new copy of Bob Dylan's "Blood On The Tracks" on the station's turntable and out came...the Buckinghams singing "Hey Baby (They're Playing Our Song)"'

Good luck!!
