THE BEATLES - 'THE BEATLES' MILLION SELLERS'
1965 UK PRESSING 'CONTRACT' PRESSING 45
It is generally known that PYE pressed a small quantity of this EP. However, this is the 1st such copy with a solid centre I seen and is, as far as I know, undocumented.
The disc itself is a genuine 1st pressing on the black & yellow Parlophone EP label: GEP 8946
Both labels carry the incorrect 'BEATLES GOLDEN DISCS' title amended on later pressings.
The 'Sold in UK..' text & 'Gramophone Co...' rims are also present on both.
The 'KT' tax/price code remains visible in both run-outs only.
It is housed in its original front laminated picture sleeve.

Labels: EXCELLENT
Apart from some minor hole wear & a few spindle trails, both are clean and unblemished with no writing or missing paper.
Visual: VERY GOOD +
Both surfaces are clean & glossy with no significant marks or wear in strong daylight. Close inspection beneath halogen light reveals some light hairlines but nothing deep or feelable. Both sides lie 100% flat on the turntable with no dishing or warping.
Play: VERY GOOD +
This copy has received a moderate amount of play but there is no significant deterioration to the sound quality or any major faults.
Cover
VERY GOOD
A little tired with general handling & storagewear but no major faults.
Strict & grading under strong daylight & directly beneath a halogen desk lamp to UK 'RECORD COLLECTOR' standards.
I carefully play every record I sell on a $5,000 Rega P9 turntable at volume and list all visual and audible faults.
