1964 ITALIAN 1st PRESSING LP
This rare LP comes from an outstanding collection of original worldwide rarities which I have the pleasure to list this week. Please take a look at my shop to see more discs from this collection.
This 1964 Italian version of 'With The Beatles' is a 1st pressing in mono on the Italian red & silver Parlophone label: PMCQ 31503
The disc is housed within an attractive, glossy bi-flipback sleeve showing The Beatles posing in Russell Square, London in July 1963.
Matrix numbers: XEX 447 1 4.2.64 & XEX 448 1 4.2.64

Both are clean & vibrant with, as you can see, there is some wear to the side 2 centre hole, but only a trace of spindle marking to side 1.
Visual: VWERY GOOD +
Both playing surfaces are clean & bright with just some faint whitening to the grooves of the first two tracks on each side, along with several non-feelable hairlines in strong daylight. Close examination directly beneath my powerful halogen desk lamp reveals little more than a small quantity of harmless paper-type hairlines but no other significant or major blemishes. Both sides lie 100% flat on the turntable with no signs of dishing or warping.
Play: EXCELLENT
Despite frequent play, this copy has not been abused and the sound throughout is clean & unworn without any groove/playwear distortion on any track. Aside from a touch of light background on the quieter spots such as on 'All I've Got To Do' and 'Til There Was You', there is little to fault audibly. My careful play check at volume picked up no clicks, pops or any other such minor distraction, let alone any major ones.

EXCELLENT
A superb example of this highly attractive cover which displays a vibrant and unworn front panel with no fading or blemishes to the image. There is some light storagewear scratching on close inspection but no creasing, or even any 'thumbnails' anywhere. All corners are clean & sharp and free from any heavy bumps or bruising and both opening edges are clean, sharp & virtually unworn. The rear panel is super-clean & white with no marks, writing or any other blemishes anywhere. There is a small 1cm rub to the lower seam but the upper one is undamaged. The spine is clean, fully worded and totally unworn.
