The Saturday night Rock ‘n’ Roll Dance came to suburban South Australia in the late 1956/1957. Brian Penglase and the “Penny Rockets”developed pop and rock music which helped encourage the musical transition from 60/40 to Rock & Roll, later appearing during the 50's on the big shows for Lee Gordon. Brian Penglase also recorded with the Hi Marks on the Planet Label
