On offer here is a VERY rare LP (especially in this condition!!!!) by Black Sabbath called 'Master Of Reality' and is an ORIGINAL 1971 UK 1st Pressing on the 1st Press 'Spiral' Vertigo label!!!! THIS LP IS SERIOUSLY RARE AND VIRTUALLY IMPOSSIBLE TO FIND!!!! IT IS ONE OF THE RAREST BLACK SABBATH LPS EVER - AND VIRTUALLY NEVER TURNS UP FOR SALE!!!! BUT WHAT MAKES THIS LP REALLY SPECIAL IS THAT IT IS 100% COMPLETE!!!! JUST TAKE A LOOK AT THE PICTURES!!!! BUT THERE IS 1 AMAZING DETAIL THAT MAKES THIS LP THE RAREST BLACK SABBATH LP EVER!!!! WHEN I ACCQUIRED THIS LP RECENTLY - NATURALLY THE FIRST THING TO CHECK FOR WAS WHETHER THIS LP HAD A POSTER OR NOT!!!! I WAS PLEASANTLY SURPRISED TO SEE THAT IT HAD!!!! HOWEVER WHEN I UNFOLDED IT - I WAS SHOCKED TO SEE THAT IT WAS ABSOLUTELY MASSIVE (DOUBLE THE SIZE OF THE USUAL POSTER!) AND HAD A COMPLETELY DIFFERENT PICTURE!!!! THERE WAS HOWEVER ABSOLUTELY NO DOUBT THAT THIS POSTER WAS MEANT FOR THIS LP (AS IT HAS THE SAME 'BLACK SABBATH' DESIGN AS THE COVER FRONT!) - BUT I WAS NATURALLY CURIOUS AS TO THE HISTORY OF THIS LP!!!! AND ON SPEAKING TO THE 1 PREVIOUS OWNER, I FOUND OUT HE WAS AN EX-VERTIGO REP AND OBTAINED THIS LP DIRECT FROM THE FACTORY WAY BEFORE THE RELEASE DATE!!!! HE PERSONALLY TOLD ME THAT THIS WAS THE ORIGINAL POSTER THAT WAS TO BE SUPPLIED WITH EVERY LP ON RELEASE, BUT APPARENTLY THIS ULTRA RARE POSTER WAS WITHDRAWN BEFORE RELEASE (ONLY A FEW WERE EVER MADE!) AND CHANGED BECAUSE APPARENTLY IT WAS SAID THE BAND LOOKED TOO 'YOUNG' AND NOT REBELIOUS ENOUGH!!!! NOW WHETHER THAT PARTICULAR STORY IS 100% ACCURATE - I DONT KNOW. BUT ONE THING IS 100% CERTAIN!!!! AND THAT IS THAT THIS POSTER HAS BEEN INSIDE THE LP SINCE THE EX-VERTIGO REP ACCQUIRED IT BACK IN 1971 (WELL BEFORE THE RELEASE DATE!) AND IS CLEARLY DESIGNED FOR THIS LP ONLY - AS IT HAS THE 'BLACK SABBATH' TEXT AT THE TOP OF THE POSTER IN IDENTICAL COLOUR & SHAPE AS WHAT IS ON THE LPS FRONT COVER!!!! AND THIS SURELY HAS TO MAKE THIS LP THE RAREST BLACK SABBATH LP EVER TO BE OFFERED FOR SALE!!!! I HAVE NEVER SEEN THIS POSTER BEFORE (AND I DOUBT IF I WILL EVER SEEN IT AGAIN!) - AND IT LOOKS MILES BETTER THAN THE USUAL 'SMALLER' POSTER FOUND IN STANDARD 1ST PRESSINGS!!!! This is the ORIGINAL Vertigo UK 1st Pressing from 1971 and is in BRILLIANT condition!!!! The record is pressed on THICK quality vinyl. The Cat. No is 6360 050 on the 1st Press 'Spiral' Vertigo Label (see picture) and is a UK Stereo 1st pressing (there were NO Monos)!!!! All the tracks are pure quality Black Sabbath at their best!!!! Any fan of Black Sabbath, or 60s/70s music in general, will want to have this in their collection!!!!
The record labels are in SUPERB condition (see pictures) with NO wear, NO writing, and only a few VERY light spindle marks!!!! The vinyl is in BRILLIANT condition!!!! Most of these 60s/70s LPs had been to a lot of wild parties and are usually found totally worn out, and almost unplayable. This one is NOT and has NO scratches, only 1 absolutely TINY hairline, only 1 ULTRA light hairline trace, only 1 MEGA light scuffline, and only a VERY few of lightest paper scuffs only visible under light!!!! THIS RECORD STILL RETAINS ITS ORIGINAL 'JUST PRESSED' LOOK AND SHINES LIKE NEW!!!! It is great to find that the record plays as STUNNINGLY as the visual with only 2 or 3 MEGA light pops from the TINY hairline (NONE elsewhere!), NO sticking, NO jumps, barely ANY crackle AT ALL, and only some EXTREMELY low level background sound on the run on grooves & gaps - NOT in the music AT ALL which plays SUPERBLY!!!! The sound quality is simply SUPERB with NO groovewear and NO distortion either!!!! The record must grade Very Good++++ if not better!!!! Believe me this record is NOT overgraded in ANY way!!!! I use STRICT RC grading standards - it is not in my interest not to!!!! Brillant!!!! The record also comes in its ORIGINAL 1st Press Vertigo 'Spiral' inner sleeve which is in SUPERB condition!!!! THE ULTRA RARE 'PROMOTIONAL' POSTER IS IN STUNNING CONDITION WITH ABSOLUTELY NO DAMAGE AT ALL (NO pinholes, NO tack marks, etc), AND HAS CLEARLY NEVER BEEN HUNG ON A WALL!!!! The 1st Press FULLY Laminated 'Box' Cover is in STUNNING condition!!!! It has NO edge wear, NO spinal wear, only VERY slight corner wear (NOT through the colour), only a VERY few light creases, NO 'slanting' of the cover (both sides are 100% Vertical!), SUPERB shiny UNGLAZED laminate, and NO writing!!!! The opening edges are beautifully straight with NO feathering!!!! Even the laminated back is in STUNNING condition with NO writing, NO grubbyness, SUPERB shiny laminate, only a VERY thin line of laminate lifting along 1 edge, and NO yellowing!!!! The cover must MEGA STRICTLY grade Very Good++++ if not better and looks SUPERB!!!! THIS LP IS SERIOUSLY RARE AND VIRTUALLY IMPOSSIBLE TO FIND LIKE THIS - SO DONT MISS OUT ON THIS AMAZING OPPORTUNITY!!!!
