CARMEN SUITE

PARIS CONSERVATOIRE ORCHESTRA CONDUCTED BY ANDRE CLUYTENS

1964 FIRST UK STEREO PRESSING ON COLUMBIA SAX 2566

RED SEMI-CIRCLE LABEL

This is one from my personal collection.  A rare and beautifully preserved copy of one of the best and rarest from the Columbia SAX series.  I am not a dealer, simply a lover of fine music. I am parting with some rare and valuable items over the next few weeks so keep looking. There may be something that interests you.

This is without doubt one of the best copies in existence of this incredibly rare masterpeice.  I will describe the condition but first take a look at the pictures and see for yourself.  I take photographs from all angles so you can see exactly what is on offer.  Nothing is hidden as seems to be the way with some sellers these days.

This record has been stored upright in a dark cupboard in a protective cover for 50 years.  It has been played twice, once when it was bought and once today prior to listing.  The playing surfaces are perfect as you would expect.  The analogue sound is remarkable,  again, as expected.  The visual and audio grade is NEAR MINT.

The Garrod & Lofthouse cover has no creases, marks or writing.  The laminated front shines like new, the flipbacks and spine are perfect.  The original price sticker is still in place but could be easily removed as it is stuck onto one of the flipbacks.  There is a hint of yellowing to the rear panel and two small brown spots.  The cover is graded as NEAR MINT.

The record is housed in its original polythene lined EMI inner sleeve.  It has some very minor creasing but remains in NEAR MINT condition.

It would be difficult, maybe impossible to find a better copy of this record as it was pressed in such tiny quantities.  I have sold many records on Ebay of all genres, including classical, jazz, rock and others.  You can see my feedback if you wish.  I grade strictly and honestly as I know the importance of accuracy when it comes to selling to discerning audiophile collectors.

Postage is available worldwide and will be by UK 1st Class Recorded / International Signed for with insurance to cover the final price of the item.  Please do not pay until I send the invoice.  Returns are accepted within 14 days of receipt if the buyer is not satisfied.  This is subject to the safe return of the item.  I do not give partial refunds.  My records are sent in high quality cruciform mailers so the record will reach you in perfect condition.

Thankyou for taking the time to read this listing. If you have any questions I will try to answer them promptly.
