On offer here is a MEGA-RARE original UK STEREO 2nd
pressing of Beatles For Sale by THE BEATLES on the yellow & black
Parlophone label, with the mispressed label for Side 1 with Track 2 listed as
I’M A LOSSER instead of I’m A Loser!!!!! The catalogue number is PCS 3062 and
the labels have THE GRAMOPHONE CO text around the rim and the SOLD IN UK
text. Matrix numbers are Side 1 – YEX
142-1 & Side 2 – YEX 143-1. Mothers
& Stampers are Side 1 – MO 4 & Side 2 – OM 1 7. This amazingly RARE and sought after mispressing
comes in the correct laminated gatefold outline Stereo logo cover!! The cover
is very strictly graded in VG condition, it has a small tear to the front
bottom right which is a shame as otherwise the cover is in really nice shape
apart from minor creasing and the usual spine corner wear that affects these
quite fragile covers. The record itself
is also very strictly graded as VG. Both
sides have light marks visible under strong light with Side 1 being visually
worse than Side 2 with a visible mark on Track 4 Rock And Roll Music that does
not affect play and what looks like some light bag rash. Side 2 looks lovely however and the disc
generally still shines nicely and despite some marks it plays through superbly without
sticks or jumps, and it is 100% flat with no warps / dishing etc!!! The labels
are fine although Side 2 has someone’s initials in the yellow pound sign logo
box but there are no tears and there are only light traces of spindle wear on
both sides. Comes with original EMI
advertising inner sleeve in GREAT condition with no splits!!! A really nice copy of a great BEATLE
