Beatles 1966 Genuine Scranton Peeled Stereo Butcher Cover w/Peeled Trunk Cover and Stereo Pressing

 Sadly, I am offering probably the best Stereo Butcher Cover that I have owned. This is the rarer Scranton, Pennsylvania purple banner Stereo edition. A true investment piece, this one is nice because there aren't any significant seam splits and the jacket is in strong condition with only very minor wear, etc. Stereo Butcher Covers are said to be five to ten times more rare than mono covers. If it doesn't sell, then I will probably keep it.

Overall, this cover is used but in very nice condition with light wear to the back and a bit of sticker residue where the plant number is on the back. Other than this , there is a left back corner wrinkle and that's about it. Stereo peels rarely turn up in such nice condition as they are harder to peel and usually have more pronounced horizontal streaks across the front . which occurred as a result of the paste over process back in 1966 by Capitol Records. There is minor glue residue/streaks/touch up etc on this, and as you can see from the photos, nothing that greatly affects the overall stunning appearance.  Please examine the photos carefully for exact condition. Near Mint Peeled  Stereo Butcher Covers can sell for as high as $1600 or even $2000 or more if they are really nice. I have often seen peeled stereo's of lesser condition sell  in the $1400 range. This is a guaranteed original 1966 Capitol 3rd state (Peeled) Stereo Butcher cover.  

Also, this  album cover comes with the peeled trunk slick in condition as shown with a few wrinkles,tears etc.  Original Capitol Scranton Mono pressing in VG - condition with inner sleeve. Please note that the Beatles t-shirt seen in the background is NOT INCLUDED in this auction ! Please remember when bidding that this is a used album being sold in the condition as shown and this is a peeled version not a first state so any minor imperfections are the result of the gluing process at the Capitol factory or the removal process.
