Description

Beatles Framed 3rd State (Peeled) Mono Butcher Cover
Every once in a while we get an email that inquires whether or not we have an affordable genuine Butcher Cover. This is generally not that easy because most under $500 are badly damaged and not displayable. While this Scranton Mono cover (we took in on trade) is far from a top copy, it's not horrible ! While the seams, spine and back have some noticeable issues, this is not yet ready for the trash can and would be a great candidate for your Office/Den/Cave and all you need is a nail in the wall. This Butcher Cover is a first time offering. Don't be afraid to place an opening bid as these tend to sell before auction end with BUY IT NOW. Even the BUY IT NOW price is reasonable. This item will be safely and securely double boxed and shipped to you via Priority Mail. Look for yourself at the offerings on the net and compare. This is a great opportunity to purchase a jacket that you will be proud to display and one that won't break the bank. Please read complete description prior to bidding.
Condition:
Looks to be a fair amateur peel job. There seems to be touch up in various areas throughout. Capitol factory glue lines are fairly prominent on this cover. There is moderate toning/aging to the jacket. The seams and spine have issues (see detailed description below). Please see below for further more specific details about jacket condition.
Seams:
Top seam shows flaking and cracking throughout most of top seam with just a few inches on top of connected pair on the seam. Same thing with the bottom seam but this has about an inch of connected seam paper. Both appear to have been neatly glued to mitigate the spread of these splits. Please see photos.
 Spine:
Spine is cracked throughout and appears to be glued. Only a very little bit of the printing is visible, most is gone. See spine photo.
Back Of Jacket:
The back of the jacket is covered in writing in pen and marker throughout with several inches of tape staining near the spine on the back. (Please see photo of back).
Trunk Slick:
Removed Trunk Slick is NOT INCLUDED.
Record/Inner Sleeve
Mono Record is included in poor visual condition (has not been play graded). This is what came with this jacket. Original inner sleeve is included with some writing and tape stains.
Frame :
Frame is included but shows some shopwear and scratches to the plexiglas and frame. Please not that this frame is NOT UV protective so be sure not to hang this near a window or other heavy UV light source.
Look around for prices and quality on Mono peels out there. Many are noticeable amateur efforts with noticeable severe damage from unprofessional peeling. Although this jacket doesn't appear to be professionally peeled, regardless, this presents better than many Mono amateur peels that you see out there in this entry level price range. This is still an awesome piece of Rock and Roll history.
Terms Of Auction/Shipping:
Due to the recent inflation and subsequent increases in actual USPS shipping costs, Buyer pays $34.99 for properly packed double boxed priority shipping with tracking. Shipping of such a high value, large package with significant weigh is costly and labor intensive and will likely be more that what is being charged here. Regardless, the cost to you will be capped at $34.99. No International Shipping on this item. Bidders with low feedback or new accounts should contact us prior to bidding on this item. Seller reserves the right to cancel bids at any time. Due to the exceptional cost and labor involved in shipping this item, this is being sold "AS IS" and there are No Returns on this purchase. Please review all photos and descriptions and please contact with questions prior to bidding. This item has been through a laborious process from the 2nd state to what you see here, and as such, the grading is unique on this item. This cannot be graded like a comic book or a baseball card due to the fact that this jacket has twice been altered from its original state, once by the paste over process at the Capitol Factory and likewise by the peeling process. Any minor imperfections are from either process. The photos speak for themselves and we do our best to accurately grade these historic artifacts. Please note: Butcher T-shirt seen in background is NOT included in auction.
Thank You and Happy Bidding !
