Description
You are bidding for a genuine 12” stereo
BBC TRANSCRIPTION SERVICES LP
containing STEREO POP SPECIAL – 72(i) and (ii) (CN 2073/S).
This POP SPECTACULAR LP,
which was issued in August 1974, features two programmes:
RANDY NEWMAN and QUEEN
The RANDY NEWMAN concert was recorded
at the Paris Theatre in London.
The QUEEN concert was recorded at
Golders Green Hippodrome Theatre.
The RANDY NEWMAN tracks are:
DON’T SEND ME NOBODY; GIVE ME A REASON TO LIVE; MARIE;
SIMON SMITH AND HIS AMAZING DANCING BEAR; I’LL BE HOME;
DOWNTOWN BIRMINGHAM; MAYBE; MY OLD KENTUCY HOME;
LET’S DROP THE BIG ONE; DAYTON OHIO and
I THINK IT’S GONNA RAIN TODAY
THE QUEEN tracks are:
FATHER TO SON (6m 00s); SON AND DAUGHTER (6m 40s);
OGRE BATTLE (4m 37s) and LIAR (7m 02s)
Photocopies of the BBC continuity sheets are included.
There is a catalogue number written on the back of the record sleeve.
The disc plays well, but both sides have rub marks and light scratch marks
from the paper continuity sheets, and the QUEEN side has a
3mm diameter mark, and a smaller scratch that makes a click for about 12 revolutions.
Both sides are noisy pressings.
