ATTENTION: Springtime seems to always yield the best records for us, and just like our May 2010 list, we're back again a year after with over 400 rare original LPs and 45s. This is certainly our biggest auction yet, and arguably one of the largest ever on eBay. Highlights include original copies of Arthur Verocai, Captain Puff, Uncle Funkenstein, Kashmere Stage Band, Mulatu of Ethiopia, Roy Porter Inner Feelings, a large part of the Tribe catalog, David Lee Jr. and hundreds more, including large parts of the Strata-East, TICO, Prestige, and Fania discographies.. For anyone collecting rare groove, funk, jazz, or latin records, this list is simply not to be missed.
As always, each of our auctions feature full high resolution photos and soundclips taken directly from the LP for sale, so take your time to check out some things on the list you might not have heard before. If you have any questions, or would like to join the Cavern Discos mailing list for future eBay notifications and set sales, please send us a message through eBay or email us at spelunk@me.com Thanks! -B
Artist: Arthur Verocai
Title: S/T
Label: Continental (original, Brazil pressing)
Record Condition: Side A is EX, Side B is NM, conservative grading, full soundclips of each side below. Tough to convey online how outstandingly clean this copy is - this is hands down the cleanest copy I personally know to exist of this rarity, and honestly one of the cleanest Brazilian LPs I've ever had in general. True archive quality copy for the discerning collector. Cover Condition: NM (in shrinkwrap!)

Yes, this is 100% real. Truly astonished to be offering this up for sale this month, an original Arthur Verocai in absolutely pristine condition. Much has been said about this LP, Verocai himself has even performed recently in the states thanks to its notoriety - the story goes that Arthur Verocai was an arranger who was involved with many Brazilian records (Ivan Lins, Anamaria & Mauricio, etc.) but this is his only solo album. The vast majority of copies were burned in a fire, and very few survived. I used to live in Brazil, and those who I've spoken with there have all confirmed just how rare this record is - even other rare LPs like Paebiru turn up, but finding a Verocai is true endangered species material. I'll take this opportunity to shout out my dude Marcos at Tropicalia Discos, one of the first people to ever reveal this one to collectors over two decades ago, a man deserving of credit for discovering many, many Brazilian rarities. Simply put, if you're down with this LP, I'd bet a lot of money this is the absolute nicest copy you will ever get a chance at, so bid accordingly. Best of luck to everyone, and please don't hesitate to ask questions if you have any.

We grade conservatively on the simple scale of Sealed, NM, EX, VG+, VG, VG-, G, and Poor. All items are original first pressings unless otherwise noted. All audio clips, photos and label scans are taken from the copy of the record for sale and are not altered in any way.
