Description

After being an avid music collector for over thirty years, I've decided to downscale somewhat. So in the coming months I'll be listing an abundance of records, cd's, tour programmes, genuine autographed items, tour t-shirts, magazines and other memorabilia from my own personal collection.

AC/DC - IF YOU WANT BLOOD - YOU'VE GOT IT - Vinyl LP

Atlantic / K 50532 (A1/B1 Matrix) / 1978 / UK

Rare original first pressing of AC/DC's classic 1978 live album - autographed by Bon Scott and Angus Young. This was signed by Bon and Angus outside the Empire Theatre in Liverpool before one of the two shows they played there on the 5th & 6th of December 1979 on the Highway To Hell tour. I bought this in the mid '80s from the person who actually obtained these signatures in person. As you can see from the photos, part of Angus's signature is on his dark jacket so it's hard to make out but it's all there. Bon's has slightly strayed onto the sticker with the release date on.

Track Listing

Side One : 1. Riff Raff 2. Hell Ain't A Bad Place To Be 3. Bad Boy Boogie 4. The Jack 5. Problem Child

Side Two : 1. Whole Lotta Rosie 2. Rock 'N' Roll Damnation 3. High Voltage 4. Let There Be Rock 5. Rocker

Condition

Vinyl : G+   Visually, the vinyl does look to have been played quite a lot with a few light surface scratches showing, but nothing major or deep. On playback, there is surface noise which is consistent, although nothing too obtrusive - it was still an enjoyable listen when I played it back. The labels do have some spindle wear and side one has some discolouration when viewed at a certain angle (see photo 11 below). This original, first pressing has the A1/B1 matrix numbers and the "A Porky Prime Cut" in the run-out grooves.

Sleeve : VG-   The autographed sleeve does have some creasing and light scuffing on the corners which I've tried to show in the photos but overall is in pretty good condition with no seam-splits or tearing.

Record Collector Grading System

Mint (M):  Record shows no evidence of having been played. Vinyl/sleeve in perfect, brand new condition. No secondhand records can make this grade.

Near Mint (NM):  Record shows little sign of having been played. Vinyl/sleeve is in superb condition.  My highest grade for secondhand vinyl.

Excellent (EX):  Record has been played a few times but has been well looked after. Vinyl has the odd light surface mark but there is no significant lessening of sound quality. Sleeve may have some slight wear and/or creasing.

Very Good (VG):  Record has been played a number of times but displays no major deterioration in sound quality despite some visible marks / mild scratches. Any surface noise is occasional, light and unobtrusive. Sleeve will have some normal wear and tear without any major defects.

Good (G):  While the record still plays OK, the vinyl will have a lot of surface marks/ light scratches and there is regular and noticeable surface noise. Sleeve and contents will suffer from folding, scuffing and/ or edge splits, discoloration etc.

Fair (F):  Vinyl will have scratches and jump etc. Records in this condition will be collection-fillers only. The sleeve has major tears, staining etc.
