DESCRIPTION: One of the all time great hot string band records - mandolin/guitar on one side, fiddle/guitar on the other. This copy shows only the slightest use and plays E+ - music crisp and loud with no surface noise whatsoever. Only a few known copies (this one is from the Ken Swerilas collection), and there are no known copies of the other Bluebird from this session - if you know of one, please let me know. If you've never seen Louie Bluie, Terry Zwigoff's documentary on Howard Armstrong (aka Louie Bluie), and you have any interest in early black string band music, it's a must see and available from The Criterion Collection with extras.
