DESCRIPTION:  One of the many crown jewels of Don Kent's blues collection is this extremely rare Vocalion by J. D. Short released as by Jelly Jaw Short.  Short was born and raised in Mississippi,  moved to the St. Louis area in the early 1920s and is often lumped in with St. Louis blues artists, but his searing Delta voice with its distinctive vibrato set him apart.  This is the first time one of Short's 78s has been offered on eBay.  Music is crisp and clear with quiet surface.  Some light scratches on the "Bare Foot Blues" side (including a few on label).   From the Don Kent collection.
